July 13 ,1958 -October 24 ,2003 ) was an Americansinger -songwriter . She was born July 13, 1958, the daughter ofJune Carter Cash and her second husband Edwin "Rip" Nix, and the stepdaughter of the famous country singerJohnny Cash . She was married to Philip Adams. She was a singer/songwriter and performed as a back-up singer for "The Johnny Cash Show", David Grey, and Slim Whitman.She and
Jimmy Campbell , a bluegrassfiddle player , were found dead on abus in Montgomery County,Tennessee , onOctober 24 ,2003 . It was determined that the deaths were caused bycarbon monoxide from the sixpropane heater s, used without ventilation, in the bus. Adams was 45 when she died. She was buried in theHendersonville Memorial Gardens ,Hendersonville ,Tennessee , near her mother and stepfather who also died that same year.External links
