- George Kalmus
George Ernest Kalmus, CBE, FRS (born 21 April 1935) is a British particle physicist.
Kalmus was educated at St Albans County Grammar School and
University College, London .He was Associate Director, 1986–94 and Director, 1994–97 of Particle Physics at the
Rutherford Appleton Laboratory . He was Visiting Professor, Physics and Astronomy Department, 1984–2000,University College, London and has been a Fellow there since 1998.He was elected a Fellow of the
Royal Society in 1988 and made a CBE in 2000.Kalmus's brother, Peter Kalmus, is also a renowned particle physicist and is
Emeritus Professor of Physics atQueen Mary University of London .References and links
