Foothill Technology High School is a high school located on 100 Day Road in Ventura, California. It has been a California Distinguished School since 2005 [ [http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/sr/cs/ap/distingyear.asp?year=2005 Distinguished School Awards 2005 Award Winners] ] and won the National Blue Ribbon Award in 2006. Foothill Technology High School was opened in 2000 to alleviate the overcrowding at the city's two existing high schools (Buena High School and Ventura High School). The school has been, since its inception, a magnet school.
The school's testing scores have reached an API of 896 in 2006, the 16th highest score among high schools in the State of California, and the highest in Ventura County.
