Scouting in Tasmania is predominantly represented by the branch of Scouts Australia in the State of Tasmania, Australia. There is also representation by the Baden-Powell Scouts' Association, which was founded in May 1984 in Tasmania, and a little later independently in Adelaide, South Australia.

Scouts Australia in Tasmania is organised around several Scout Districts:-

*Clarence
*Hellyer
*Huon
*Kingborough
*Launceston Tamar
*Launceston North
*Leven
*Mersey
*North Midlands
*Wellington
*West Coast

and a District for Distant Groups.

The main adult training centre is the Lea Scout Centre, 8 km from Hobart. It also houses the Branch Headquarters and the Tasmanian Scout Heritage Centre opened in 1997. There are several other Activity Centres throughout the State.

History of Scouting in Tasmania

Captain Dennis Colbron Pearse, who was Assistant Commandant at the Humshaugh Camp in 1908, the first Scout Camp, moved in 1922 to Tasmania and was involved in Scouting there for the rest of his life. In 1922, he was Publicity Manager for Scouting in Tasmania. In 1926 he was Assistant Chief Commissioner and welcomed Baden-Powell, the Chief Scout, to the island as part of the founder's tour of Australia.
