"The Wildhearts Must be Destroyed" is a 2003 album by The Wildhearts.

The album ended the years of rumour and gossip and saw the "Earth Vs The Wildhearts" lineup reformed, with the exception of Danny McCormack on bass who entered rehab on the eve of recording (bass duties on the album were handled by Ginger). Eleven songs, mainly written by Ginger, and crafted to give the fans precisely what they wanted. The first single from the album, "Vanilla Radio", was yet another chart botherer from a band that were apparently an underground act, and followed on from Stormy In The North, Karma In The South off the 2004 Coupled With B-sides collection. Further singles "So Into You" and "Top of the World" made the return of the Wildhearts a thumping success, not to mention the equally classy collection of B-sides that accompanied each single.

The album's title makes reference to 1969 Hammer Horror "Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed".

# "Nexus Icon"
#* Is about musical icons. Icons seem to follow a pattern, a mother complex, massive insecurity problems and the belief that their audience loves them as much as they themselves do. It is a comment on the 'conveyor belt' attitude and mentality of the music business, and its unfortunate victims.
