Relaxation labelling

Relaxation labelling

Relaxation Labelling is an image treatment methodology. Its goal is to associate a label to the pixels of a given numerized image.

The method relies on the fact that pixels which should be labelled in the same way tend to be near each other. Thus when a pixel is identified as having a high probability to be associated with a given label, the probability that its neighbour's pixels should be associated with the same label is increased.
