- Radiation Training
Radiation Training is a form of training based on the principal that
exposure to a topic through rapid hands-on training is more effective than digest learning from books or articles. (seeRadiation )It is not intended as a replacement to structured
learning or skills training, but is intended to help people approach new areas of skill without the pressure of examination and without the need for prolonged periods of training. The concept is very basic, with a trainer simple walking trainees through a set of "treatments", intended to expose them to a way of doing something, but with the focus of familiarizing the trainee with the tool and process of using the tool, rather than the outcome. Trainees can then go away and practice the use of the tool and process, but inventing their own outcomes, or apply their training to other challenges.
As Radiation Training is based on "exposing" trainees to a tool and process, not on a fundamental discipline or principle, it is not recommended for use in teaching or training people around high-risk/high-danger situations or applications.
