Amagi, Fukuoka

Amagi (甘木市; -shi) was a city in Japan located in the Fukuoka prefecture that merged along with the city of Haki into their mutual neighbor Asakura on March 20th, 2006.

In 2003, the city had an estimated population of 42,449 with a population density of 253.90 persons per km2. Amagi contains 167.19 km2 land.

The city existed from April 1, 1954 until its integration into the new city of Asakura, Fukuoka on March 20, 2006.
