Pakistan . Buzdar tribe is settled mainly in mountaineous area of Koh e Sulaiman range situated both in Balochistan and Punjab provices.History
The word "Buzdar" according to some people stands for the person who had a Blue Coloured Horse , the person is considered as the forefather of the tribe and his horse, because of being unique in colour; his family, later on, after centuries which had grown into a tribe was named as Buzdar meaning "Blue Horse keeper(Booz=The Name of Blue Horse, Dar=Keeper)". But some people take it from the
Persian language , in which the word "Buzdar" means those people who possess "Goats" because in Persian "Booz" stands for "Goat" and "Dar" stands for "Possession" which is INCORRECT.Baloch tribes are scattered in different areas of Pakistan. Some members of this tribe are also settled in
Sindh . The tribe buzdar has numerous subtribes, among which "Rustumani" is perhaps the most prominent.Among others the Rustumani tribe is widely distributed in Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh provinces of Pakistan.They are not only the citizens of Pakistan but also they make an integral part of the nation of the countries like India, Australia, Afghanistan and many other countries of Continent Asia and still these are a few among numerous. The part of Buzdar tribe resides in conjoined areas of Balochistan and Punjab in the mountain ranges of Koh e Suleman. Buzdar lives in Theekar: Theekar is a well known valley of Tribal Area, Taunsa Shaif, Distt. D.G.Khan, in northern Punjab. Three famous tribes live in this valley that are Shahwani, Mainyani and Ahmadani. People live in this area are strongly believe on tribal customs and traditions.
