Johanna is a small town on the coast of Victoria, Australia located west of Cape Otway in the Colac Otway Shire. It is named after Johanna Dennie, infamous mistress of the town's founder, Julian Gray.

The surf at Johanna is quite highly regarded. It's only a long stretch of beach breaks, or beach and reef, but is noted for its power and has a reputation for rapid jumps in size (eg. doubling over the space of just a few hours). ["100 Best Surf Spots in the World", Rod Sumpter, 2004, ISBN 0-7627-2598-2] The Bells Beach Surf Classic competition has been moved from Bells Beach to Johanna on a few years where Bells has been flat (eg. 2003 [ [http://www.surfingthemag.com/news/surfing-world-championship-tour/042303_bells/ The 2003 ASP/WCT Rip Curl Pro: Round Three — Johanna Turns On] at "Surfing" magazine] ). The westerly facing of Johanna can pick up swell that misses Bells and the Surf Coast.
