Notre Dame offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, both the preparation courses in Grades 9 and 10 and the actual diploma program in Grades 11 and 12.
All the Notre Dame teams carry the "Knights" team name. Along with football, Notre Dame offers plenty of other sports. These include; golf, cross country, hockey, soccer, archery, rugby and curling, among many others. Notre Dame is also renowned for its music program. Both the concert and stage bands have won many national and international awards.[citation needed]
Notre Dame is also very active in the community. They are well known for their participation in the fall and spring food drives, collection of food, clothing and gifts for local charities at Christmas. The school also plans trips for students to other countries such as Nicaragua, China, U.S.A. and Russia for a fee.
As well, various student clubs such as World Issues and the Model United Nations play a very prominent role in Notre Dame. During May 2007, Notre Dame won best delegation in the entire Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board for their delegation at the first annual Dufferin Peel Model United Nations.
Notre Dame has many teams and clubs which all help the community and the school itself.
On November 27, 2007, Notre Dame defended their title as ROPSSAA Football Champions, winning for the 2nd year in a row. The dominant Notre Dame Curling team also won ROPSSAA this year. This marks Notre Dame's 5th consecutive ROPSSAA curling gold medal.[citation needed]
