Halkirk is a village in central Alberta, Canada. It is located km to mi|122 east of Red Deer.

It was named for Halkirk, Scotland.

It is the birthplace of Shane Doan, a Canadian professional ice hockey forward playing in the NHL for the Phoenix Coyotes.

Halkirk has a yearly bull-a-rama in August. After which hundreds of people go party at the brand new beer gardens that was built in the summer of 2006.

A new post office has finished construction as of 2007.

The Grain Elevator is owned by the Koenraadt Family, and has recently been resided and now says Halkirk on the side

In 2006, Halkirk had a population of 113 living in 62 dwellings, a 3.4% decrease from 2001.
