Myer to open 23 Joh Bailey salons inside department stores. The first of these was opened in September 2004 in the Myer Sydney City store. There are Joh Bailey salons in every state and territory in Australia, with the exception ofTasmania and theNorthern Territory . Unfortunately, due to poor sales and the difficulty to control quality with so many salons Joh decided to shut down most of his Myer stores. Myer were also not happy with the below budget performances of the stores and were demanding a higher percentage. Currently the only Joh Bailey @ Myer salons in operation are those at Myer Sydney City and Chadstone Myer [ [http://www.johbailey.com.au/locations.html Joh Bailey ] ] .In 2006 Joh, working with Bush Australia (a division of UK electronics company AlbaPlc), launched his own brand of haircare appliances.
