Palestinian village that was captured byIsrael during the1948 Arab-Israeli war . It was located in Acre District of theBritish Mandate of Palestine , 19.5km northeast of the city of Acre. In 1945 the village had a population 200Arab s and a total land area of 1,872 dunums.Military assault
It was captured by Israel's 7th Brigade and Carmeli brigades on October 31, 1948 during the Israeli offensive,
Operation Hiram . The village was completely destroyed, and only house rubble left behind, and its inhabitants were completely ethnically cleansed. The Jewish village ofYa'ara is located on the former village's land.
