He plays somewhat of a utility back role, allowing him to slot in at fullback, centre or at five-eighth.

Early years
A former Sawtell resident, Greenshields attended Toormina High School, who compete every year in the Robbie MacKinnon Cup against other local schools of the Coffs Harbour district. His junior club was the Sawtell Panthers JRLFC, a club recently crowned Group 2 senior champions.
Playing career
Greenshields made his first grade debut for the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Greenshields has proved one of the best signings in Super League during his stint in the south of France. He has not missed a single Super League fixture for the dragons, and his superb defensive efforts have been the backbone of the side. He has twice been voted player of the season by the UK-based Dragons e-zine sang-et-or.
On 10 May 2008 it was announced that Greenshields has signed a new three-year contract with the French Super League club.[2]
Greenshields has been named in the Super League Dream Team for the 2008 season,[3] beating world class talents like Brent Webb and Paul Wellens to be named as the outstanding full back of the Super League season. He is also one of the front runners in the race for Man of Steel 2008.
He has been selected for the French national rugby league team to compete in the 2009 Four Nations tournament.[4] He made his debut against England on 23 October 2009, and played in the match against Australia.[5]
Clint signed a one year extension to his deal at Catalans Dragons in July 2011. [6]
