The main goal of the school is to provide students with a safe environment for learning to the best of their ability. They aim at teachers and students working together, being academically active to become contributing members of society, having each individual be a valuable member of the school and community, and being supported by staff and peers.
C. Milton Wright High School's 2005 attendance rate is approximately 91.1%, which is down from the previous 2 years. The school has 77 classrooms, along with four portables, with approximately 104 teachers. The principal for the 2008-2009 school year is Marlene Molter.
C. Milton Wright High School is known to be one of the most rigorous academic schools located in Harford County. The school currently offers 20 [Advanced Placement] (AP) classes, that are encouraged to be taken by all. In 2004, the teachers at C. Milton helped 80% of the students who took an AP Exam achieve a score of a 3 or higher.
C. Milton Wright was named the top participating school in Maryland with the organization, Relay For Life, dedicated to raising money and promoting awareness about cancer research.
The school is known for its friendly staff of teachers, secretaries, and counselors, who strive to serve each individual to the best of their abilities. The students are dedicated and engaged in many difficult classes, and the expectations are set high from the teachers that have been at C. Milton for 15+ years.
Set in the middle of Bel Air, there is an conservative view of the school as following academic traditions and involvement from the vast community.
