Erin Lang is a Canadian musician. She was born in
Montreal , Canada onMay 11 ,1979 into a creative, musical family. Her father, Steve Lang was the bassist with 1970s Canadian rock bandApril Wine . Her mother, Dale Lang, was apuppeteer and make up artist. Her younger brother, Robin Lang, is a film maker. She grew up in theToronto suburb ofMississauga and passed up university scholarships to pursue a career in music.In the summer of 2000, she met
Roger O'Donnell , then keyboard player withThe Cure , who encouraged her to concentrate on her solo career. The two have worked together since, and are currently working on her debut album withMario Thaler at his Uphon studio inWeilheim south ofMunich , Germany. In 2005, Erin and Roger formed their own independent record label "99 Times out of 10" with the intention of helping unsigned bands.Erin plays live with fellow Canadian
