Interstate 470 (abbreviated I-470) is a 16.72 mile connector highway between Independence, Missouri and southeast Kansas City, Missouri. Along its route, I-470 also travels through the city of Lee's Summit. The western terminus is at I-435 and the Grandview Triangle while the northern terminus is with I-70. Two more exits are in the works/plans in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The first one is currently under construction, at mile post 7, just west of Exit 7A , where Pryor Road crosses over the Interstate with the eastbound exit and westbound on ramps now open. In the next phase/addition, "flyover bridges" will be constructed over Route 350, and connect to Blue Parkway, where two more ramps will be constructed. The second exit/interchange will be at mile post 11 at Strother Rd. Bridges will be built on I-470, over Strother Road, when it is extended to the east. The date for this start is unknown at this time, but perhaps in 2010.
