All of the RV pads are within easy access of a central sewage dumping station and a bathhouse with hot showers. All sites are available for reservations.
Tent CampingA wooded area on the upper end of Shadow Lake is available for tent camping. Water is available in the area, and bathhouses featuring hot showers are located just across the dam from the primitive camping area.
Vacation CabinsRoosevelt features 15 cabins ( #12 is handicap accessible) furnished with bed and bath linens and basic kitchen equipment, all affording beautiful views of the lake. All cabins are air-conditioned and heated, feature screened-in porches, and accommodate four to twelve people. Reservations are required.
Group CampGroup camping for up to 128 is offered in eight air-conditioned, dormitory style cabins accommodating 16 persons per cabin. The group camp features a separate dining room, meeting room, and a lakeside pavilion. Meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining hall.Campers must furnish their own linens, towels, pillow, soap, and other personal itemsReservations are required.
Pool/WaterslideSwimming Pool is open for 2 sessions per day. Session 1 time is 9:30 am - 12:15 pm and Session 2 time is 1:30 pm - 5:15 pm. A fee is charged per session. Open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Visitor/Activity BuildingThe Visitor's Center houses the park office, a video game room, and a souvenir shop featuring a variety of Mississippi gift items.The Visitor's Center has rooms suitable for business conferences, public meetings, group gatherings, and has a dining hall available for family reunions, banquets, and receptions. Complete facilities for gatherings of up to 250 people, including catering service, are available. Contact the park office for specific information on facilities, seating capacity, and costs (601) 732-6316.
Picnic Area/Shelter20 picnic sites complete with grills are located throughout the park, many affording beautiful lakeside views. Five covered pavilions ( #2 is handicap accessible) with electrical outlets may be reserved for a fee, providing the ideal spot for family reunions, company picnics, and school or church outings.
Nature TrailNature trails wind through the park, you can experience Hollow Hill, Lakeview, Muscadine, or Beaver Nature Trail affording an unobstructed view of native trees, flowers and wildlife.
PlaygroundPlayground equipment is also available at the park.
Playing FieldsRoosevelt features a lighted softball field available by reservation.
TennisGuests may use two lighted tennis courts for day or night play.
Boat LaunchingShadow Lake offers 160 acres of fresh water for water sports.
Water skiingShadow Lake offers 160 acres of fresh water for skiing. Water skiing is permitted Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend.
FishingShadow Lake offers 160 acres of fresh water for fishing. The lake is stocked with florida bass, crappie, bream, and catfish.
Laundry FacilitiesLaundry facilities are available in each campground.
Motel RoomsRoosevelt features a 20 unit Motel Lodge, one of which is handicap accessible. Each unit is furnished with bed and bath linens, basic kitchen equipment , TV and telephone.
Day UseA day-use entry fee is charged on a per vehicle basis.
WaterslideWater Slide is open for 2 sessions per day. Session 1 time is 9:30 am - 12:15 and Session 2 time is 1:30 pm - 5:15 pm. A fee is charged per session. Water slide fee also gives priviledges to swimming pool.
