Star Tannery, Virginia

Star Tannery is an unincorporated community in southwestern Frederick County, Virginia on the Shenandoah County line. Star Tannery is located on Star Tannery Road (State Route 604) off of Wardensville Pike (State Route 55) along Cedar Creek.

It's home to a plethora of people, including horse endurance racer John Crandell, who holds wins in multi-national and international races. There is a volunteer fire department that hosts annual carnivals and auctions to benefit the firehouse and local homes.

Frank is survived by his wife, Shirla, his daughters: Sarah, Pam and Dorthy and his son, Wayne. He is survived by his grandchildren: Jay, Tim, Hallie, Katelin, Benjamin, and Rachel.
