Dr. Edwin "Ted" Bounsall is a former Canadian politician and a retired

Bounsall was an
Ontario New Democratic Party member of theLegislative Assembly of Ontario representing the provincial ridings ofWindsor West (1971-1975) andWindsor—Sandwich (1975-1981). During his ten years in the Legislature, he served on numerous legislative committees. He was also one of the earlier advocates forpay equity for women inOntario . He lost by just 134 votes in the 1981 provincial election toOntario Liberal Party candidateBill Wrye .After being an MPP
Bounsall returned to teaching and also served briefly on City Council in Windsor in the 1980s. He remains politically active as part of the
Windsor West New Democratic Party Riding Association and is a supporter of NDPMember of Parliament Brian Masse and Windsor Ward 2 City Councillor Ron Jones. He attends services at St. James Anglican Church.External links
