Kristen Alison Hall is an American folk singer/songwriter. She started out as a roadie for the Indigo Girls. By 2003, she formed the country music group Sugarland alongside Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles. With co-founders Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, she wrote the band's debut single, "Baby Girl" and the song "Something More." She is the sole writer of the band's hit song, "Just Might (Make Me Believe)." She left the group early in 2006.

Kristen has been a regular at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia, and has been seen in performance at Emory University - the Alma Mater of the Indigo Girls. Along with Hall, other New Folk artists like [http://www.scandga.org/Insights/2006-07%20Winter/krona_interview.htm Krona] (Dennis Carlson/Jason Goodman) have also been known to perform at Emory - most recently in the Planetarium during their 2007 [http://www.sacc-atlanta.org/under_the_viking_sky.htm] Concert sponsored by the SACC of Atlanta.citation

In July 2008, Hall filed a lawsuit for $1.5 million against the two current members of Sugarland. According to the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Atlanta, Hall has an agreement with Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush to equally share profits and losses, and claims that she has been excluded from the group's profits since her departure in 2005 to pursue her solo career.
