"Yours, Mine & Ours" is a 2005 film starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo.

It was directed by Raja Gosnell and was released on November 23 2005. It is a remake of the 1968 film of the same name, starring Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda.

Unusually, three major studios were involved in the film's production: The film is a Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Nickelodeon Movies, and Columbia Pictures release, of a Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production.

ynopsis

Frank Beardsley is a widower US Coast Guard Rear Admiral and superintendent of the United States Coast Guard Academy raising 8 kids. Helen North is a widowed fashion designer raising 10 kids. When the two, who were high school sweethearts, meet up again at their school's thirty-year reunion, they fall in love and promptly marry, causing much displeasure within their suddenly-mixed family of 18 children. The children team up to separate their parents in a variety of inventive ways.

Trivia

* Drake Bell and Miranda Cosgrove also act as brother and sister on the Nickelodeon show "Drake & Josh", and they are even both the Mother's kids.
* Sean Faris was immediately cast as William Beardsley because of his "upright military posture".
* The house when both families collide under one roof is shot at the Disney Ranch. All the trees on the right side were digitally removed and the water was digitally added.
* Mrs. Munion, Linda Hunt, is digitally added by green screen at the beginning when Frank asks her how New London is.
*Christian pop punk band Hawk Nelson played the role of the party band in the film.
* Katija Pevec and Sean Faris have previously worked together in the movie Sleepover
* When Mrs. Munion is asked to look after the kids, she sits down with a martini watching wrestling. The matches she was watching was the Royal Rumble 2005 which we saw Batista doing the Batista Bomb on Kane. The other match she was watching was the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania 21 which featured Kane hitting Edge with a ladder while she was shouting "LOSER! hit him with the chair".
