Farley Green and Little London, each separated bywood s andheathland . The riverTillingbourne runs through the centre of the village and in the recent past fed theflour mill at the Chilworth edge of the village, which has now given way to a small estate of houses.The small village offers onepost office and general shop and a pub, the Drummond Arms. Another pub the William IV in close by Little London dates back to the 16th century.Fishing is available in the stocked Albury Estate ponds.Albury is on the south side of the
North Downs near to theSilent Pool .The parish of Albury has four churches:

* TheCatholic Apostolic Church at Sherbourne.Albury village is next to Albury Estate which is an estate of convert|150|acre|km2; within it is the Saxon church, the mansion (now a retirement home), a few houses and what is left of the old village of Albury. The estate is owned by the
Duke of Northumberland . Albury Mansion was once home to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. The gardens were designed byEvelyn .The village appears in the "
Domesday Book " as Eldeberie. It was held by Roger d'Abernon from Richard de Tonebrige. Albury has one of the two active
landfill sites inSurrey ; it only takes household waste. There is a landfill liaison committee which has been organised to work withSITA in an attempt to keep the villagers aware of all issues. This landfill generates revenue for Albury Estate which is owned by the Duke of Northumberland. Residents of the village remain surprised that permission was granted for a Landfill in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.References
