Skåne commuter rail

Pågatågen is the local commuter rail system in Skåne County, Sweden. Every train set gets its name from a Scanian man, since Påg means boy in Scanian dialect. However, one set was named after the female writer Victoria Benedictsson's pseudonym, Ernst Ahlgren.

Lines

There are six lines in the Pågatågen system, from Malmö to Lund, Helsingborg, Höör and Ystad/Simrishamn, and from Helsingborg to Åstorp.

The Oresund Trains that cross the Oresund to/from Copenhagen serve as regional trains in Skåne County on the three routes to Kristianstad, Kalmar, and Gothenburg respectively.

The east-west "Skånebanan" railway line from Kristianstad to Helsingborg, via Hässleholm, also is of regional rail character. It is served by SJ trains but local fares are applied.
