In the future, the Viva Green line could have full service restored if enough of
Downtown Markham has been developed. However, service along the Highway 7 portion of the route could be eliminated. As the Markham North-South Link transit corridor, the Viva Green line will soon have its own dedicated transitway on the Warden Avenue portion of the route, and if service on Highway 7 remains, on most of Highway 7 as well, enabling VIVA buses to quickly pass through traffic. The line will also have 2 spurs fromDenison Street south: one toSteeles Avenue on Warden, and the other to Don Mills Station. The Don Mills Station spur will have buses in mixed traffic. Eventually, the transitway portion of the route, possibly the entire line, will be upgraded to allow light rail transit on this corridor.The list of stations are as follows, from northeast to southwest:

* Markham By-Pass*
