York Regional Road 48, or locally known as Donald Cousens Parkway, Don Cousens Parkway, informally DCP, is a bypass arterial route in Markham, Ontario. The road was recently completed in late 2006, as a new by-pass replacing Old Markham By-Pass. The road served as to relieve traffic congestions on York Regional Road 67 and York Regional Road 68. The road is also responsible for the rapid growth of the new community of Cornell. Portions of the road are still under construction, but expected to be completed by 2008. The road forms a general outline of the built up area in Markham, Ontario. The road begins on York Regional Road 25, and the current terminus is at Highway 407 ETR, and is expected to stretch to York Regional Road 68 later in 2008, forming the outline of the community Box Grove. The portion of completed road is paved with two lanes.

Signage on York Regional Road 69 suggest drivers to use YRR48 as alternate route.

Alternate names of York Regional Road 48

York Regional Road 48 is also called as "Donald Cousens Parkway" ("DCP" for short). It is named after former Markham mayor Donald Cousens. He retired in early 2007.

York Regional Road 48 is also called "Markham By-Pass", as a "replacement" for the Old Markham By-Pass, which became a local route in the community of Cornell.

Recently, as of 2008, the road officially renamed Donald Cousens Way. The name "Markham By-Pass" no longer serves as an official name to this route, but rather, became a replaced name for the "Old Markham By-Pass".

There were plans to connect the bypass with Morningside Road in Toronto, but this would require the road to cut into parkland in northeastern Toronto.
