Air Marshal Sir James Anthony Rowland AC KBE DFC AFC RAAF (Armidale, November 1, 1922May 27, 1999) was Chief of Air Force (March 1975 - March 1979) and Governor of New South Wales January 20, 1981January 20, 1989. In honour of Sir James Rowland, Northholm Grammar School In NSW, named one of their four houses after him. Sir James formally opened Northholm Grammar in 1983, and the school is now celebrating 20 years of operation.He was Chancellor of the University of Sydney from 1990 to 1991.
