G L Roberts Collegiate and Vocational Institute is located in Oshawa, Ontario within the Durham District School Board. The school has students in grades 9-12 and offers a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities.
Sports at GL include Baseball, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Bowling, Wrestling, Badminton and Track & Field.
The Basketball team is one of the best in the area, and winning LOSSA was not a problem, but the 2006 season saw the Lakers not win title for the first time in a few years (senior boys).
The baseball team in 2007 had a great season going 6-2 ( 1st Place ) and winning the South Oshawa Cup. All this changed during the playoffs, as they were eliminated in the first game.The baseball team in 2008 kept their title as South Oshawa's best by winning the south Oshawa cup for the second year in a row.
