December 7 ,1942 inToledo, Ohio ) has been the head football coach atPurdue University since 1997. Before coming to Purdue, Tiller was thehead coach for theUniversity of Wyoming football program.A Montana State University graduate, where he was a member of
Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. Tiller is known mostly for being one of the innovators of thespread offense .Since taking over the Purdue football program, Tiller has led the Boilermakers to ten
bowl game berths in eleven years. Prior to Tiller's arrival in 1997, Purdue had played in only five bowl games, most recently the 1984Peach Bowl . OnSeptember 20 ,2008 , in a game versusCentral Michigan University , Tiller gained the school record for most career wins at 85, topping the previous mark of 84 set byJack Mollenkopf (1956-1969).
