Dominic Chad (born 5 June 1972 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) is an English rock guitarist and former member of the rock band Mansun.^[1]

He reportedly changed his name by deed poll to Dominic Brian Chad in 1998, due to his fixation with the now deceased Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones.^{[citation needed]}

Chad is an arranger and songwriter, having co-written several of Mansun's songs with Paul Draper, as well as writing and performing a number of B-sides himself.

After the release of Six, rumour spread of a solo album, which was provisionally entitled "Parrot". Mansun fans consoled themselves with a taster of the "Parrot" sessions, appearing on Kleptomania. There were plans for the rest of the "Parrot" sessions to be released within the next two years. Chad also took lead vocals on some of Mansun's songs, such as "Golden Stone", a B-side to "I Can Only Disappoint U".

Dominic Chad is also referenced in the anime series Bleach. Ichigo Kurosaki states that Sado should be happy that he's referred to as Chad as the name is "cool, like Dominic Chad".
