The Osaka International Peace Center (大阪国際平和センター, Ōsaka-kokusai-heiwa-sentaa?), also known as Peace Osaka (ピースおおさか, Piisu-Ōsaka?), is a museum established in August 1981 based in the city of Osaka, Japan. It focuses on the destruction of the city during World War II and the broader themes of the tragedy of war and the importance of peace. There are exhibits on Japan's role in the war and its invasion of China, Korea and southeast Asia as well as the Auschwitz concentration camp.[1] There are also resources relating to the world today, including a replica of the Doomsday Clock.
Access
The museum is located on the southern edge of Osaka Castle Park. It is a five-minute walk from Morinomiya Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line and Chūō and Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi subway lines.
