Saint Orentius Martyr Died 304 Honored in Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church Canonized Pre-congregation Feast 24 June Controversy Removed from the Roman Martyrology in 1970 Orentius was one of seven brothers, which included Cyriacus, Firminus, Firmus, Heros, Longinus, and Pharnacius. They were all soldiers in the Roman Army, who lost their positions for being christians. They all suffered martyrdom, during the persecutions of co-Emperor Maximian[1].
