Vaillant & Sauvage, 1875Eleotris sandwicensis, commonly known as the Sandwich Island Sleeper or Hawaiian Sleeper, is a species of fish in the Eleotridae family. It is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. In the Hawaiian language, the fish is also known as oʻopu, ʻoau, ʻowau, and hiʻu kole.
