edibility: poisonous Omphalotus illudens is a species of fungus in the Marasmiaceae family of the Agaricales, or gilled mushrooms. Although some older literature claims the species to be synonymous with Omphalotus olearius, phylogenetic analysis confirms that they are distinct species.[1]
