Major-General Sir Oliver Richardson Newmarch KCSI (1835–1920) was a senior British Indian Army officer who went on to be Military Secretary to the India Office.

Military career

Newmarch was commissioned into the Bengal Staff Corps and posted to the 44th Native Infantry.[1]

He was appointed Military Secretary to the India Office in 1889[2] and in that role was appointed KCSI in 1894.[3]

Family

In 1858 he married Mary Isabella Parke and they went on to have four daughters.[4]
