-
The Old Niagara Falls Train Station was a station stop on the New York Central Railroad, located on a spur in downtown Niagara Falls, New York. It was located on the corner of Falls and Second Streets, built in the Romanesque style.
Services
The train station was served by the New York Central Railroad, Pere Marquette Railroad, Susquehanna Railroad, Erie Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad, Lehigh Valley Railroad, Niagara Junction Railway and five other railroads.
Closure
In 1961, NYCRR canceled passenger service to Niagara Falls. The station was demolished as part of a far-reaching urban renewal project which resulted in the destruction of the South End of Niagara Falls and is largely to blame for the city's current economic issues.
Modern day
The site of the station is now occupied by the Conference Center Niagara Falls.
