Nuclear energy in Kenya

In September 2010 Energy Ministry Permanent Secretary Patrick Nyoike[1] announced, that Kenya aims to build a 1,000 MWe nuclear power plant by 2017 as a less-expensive alternative to their thermal power stations. The projected costs using South Korean technology are 3.5 billion US$.[2]
