Now You See It, Now You Don't: Part 1 is a two-part episode from The Jeffersons, and it was broadcast on October 21, 1979 on CBS, and was written by Mary David Sheiner, Sheila J. Weisberg and Susan Straughn Harris and is Directed by Bob Lally, it serves as the fourth episode of the 1979-1980 year, the sixth season, and the 115th episode to produced and broadcast.

Plot Summary

Louise comes home from work, and after coming off the elevator, she spots Mr. Bentley, and Bentley mistakes Louise's work clothes as a costume, but, when Louise informs Bentley that when he stops by the Jeffersons' apartment, he will see her costume. When, Louise enters the apartment, she finds Florence dressed up as Harpo Marx, and Florence uses a transcript, telling Louise that she did not have time to carve the Pumpkin, because she had to put on her Halloween costume, then George comes dressed up as Charlie Chaplin, and Florence starts to mock him saying she will be Honking her thoughts at George, because Louise does not want George and Florence arguing on Halloween, then Bentley shows up dressed as an unknown British actor "Bucky Dimster", and while dressed in his costume, Harry brings a telescope, and George starts peeking across the other building, seeing another woman doing jumping jacks. Florence tells Bentley that what George is doing is very Sexist-based on his behavior.

Louise goes to the bathroom, and gets stuck, so Florence helps her, by Knocking on the door, and kicking it open with one foot, Bentley, who already left the terrace with George still looking at the other woman, Louise goes to the terrace and threatens George if he does not stop looking at the other woman He'll never get any older, so George lets Louise looks at the telescope, but then Louise is Horrified when she tells Florence, and George that she saw a Man dressed up as a Rabbit, shoot a man outside.

The Next scene features George, Louise and Florence at the telephone, reporting a crime, but when George tells Louise that the Police officers will never believe anyone with a crazy story, and Florence tells Louise that President Jimmy Carter witness a Killer rabbit, and George says that it was an "optical illusion" like Florence's working, Florence answers the door, and its Tom and Helen dressed up as Laurel and Hardy, George makes fun of both them saying that they should have came as a Zebra. Anyway, Tom and Helen show Harry, George, Florence, and Louise a bit that they were doing, the bit turns out to be successful, and Ralph, the Doorman comes with two children, who happened to be the grandchildren George and Louise's Landlord, Mr. Whittendale.

Mr. Whittendale's grandsons Willy and Wally steal all of the Halloween candy, and then Ralph brings his nephew, Binky, who scams George into getting money because Willy and Wally took every single bit of it, so George slams the door on Ralph, and the ending of the first part ends with Bentley visiting Louise down at Charlie's Bar, Charlie, is dressed up as Dracula, but Louise sees the killer rabbit and becomes very paranoid, but luckily Bentley finds her, and the episode ends with Louise saying this:

But I could have sworn, I saw a rabbit with horned-rimmed glasses and a mustache kill someone.

And the Killer Rabbit comes out in the open after Louise and Bentley leave the bar.
