Melodi Grand Prix 2003
The 2003 edition of Melodi Grand Prix, organised by Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK), was used to select the Norwegian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, held in Riga, Latvia, on 24 May, 2003. The 2003 Melodi Grand Prix was held on 1 March at the Spektrum Arena in Oslo, hosted by Øystein Bache.
12 songs competed in the contest, with televoting selecting the winner of the contest. Two rounds of televoting were held to select the winner - the first round of televoting selected the top 4 songs through points being allocated to each song based on the number of televotes in each televoting region of Norway. The top 4 songs progressed to the "Gold Final", where another round of televoting, this time not regional, selected the final winner.[1]
