- Norman Hook

The Very Rev Norman Hook[1] was an Anglican Dean [2] in the second quarter of the 20th century. Born in 1898[3] he was educated at Durham University and ordained in 1921. Following curacies in Liverpool [4] he held incumbencies at Enborne, West Norwood and Knutsford[5]. In 1945 he was appointed Rural Dean of Wimbledon and became a Canon of Southwark Cathedral. From 1953[6] until 1969[7] he was Dean of Norwich[8]. An eminent author[9], he died on 20 May 1976[10].
