No Place to Go Sunny Sundae Smile

No Place to Go is the first single by My Bloody Valentine.[1] It was the stand-out track on Geek![2] It is by far My Bloody Valentine's lowest rated single on Rate Your Music.[3] Kevin Shields has called it an "absolute failure", and "unrepresentative of what [My Bloody Valentine] wanted to do."[4] Both sides of the single (No Place to Go and Moonlight) were three minutes and twenty seconds long.[5]

Style

The song is sung in a style reminiscent of Ian Curtis.[6] The song was also influenced by The Cramps and The Birthday Party.[7] There is also a rockabilly influence.[8]
