Nick "Afrozilla" Gaston is an American mixed martial artist who has fought exclusively for King of the Cage and is currently signed to Japanese promotion DREAM.[1] Gaston also appeared on MTV’s reality show Bully Beatdown.Contents
Mixed martial arts career
Before making his professional debut, Gaston was a walk on for the Ohio State University’s wrestling team and amassed a 4-2 amateur mixed martial arts record.
King of the Cage
He made his professional mixed martial arts debut against former NFL wide receiver Michael Westbrook.[2][3]
In his second professional mixed martial arts bout he faced Boban Simic at KOTC: Distorted winning the bout via Unanimous Decision.[4]
He next faced Mike Guidry at KOTC: Legacy winning via Submission (Keylock) in the first round.[5]
He fought against Ultimate Fighter alumnus Darrill Schoonover at KOTC: Honor winning via TKO in the second round.[6]
Gaston next faced Josh Watson at KOTC: Infusion and won via Submission.[7]
Gaston then faced Jerry Burns at KOTC - Underground 66 winning via TKO (Punches) in the first round.[8]
Gaston fought Tyler East for the KOTC Heavyweight Championship[9] at KOTC - Epic Force and lost via TKO (Punches) in the second round.[10]
DREAM
Gaston was scheduled to face UFC veteran Todd Duffee at DREAM.17 on July 16th.[11] However, Duffee pulled out of the bout due to injury.[12]
