Agenda

Formed in 2006 by Peter Whittle (also its Director), the New Culture Forum set about becoming Britain's first right-wing think tank to deal primarily in cultural matters. In 2009 it published a report criticising the out put and overall management of the Arts Council, authored by one of its Research Fellows, Marc Sidwell, titled "Arts Council: Managed to Death", the report drew a mixture of admiration and criticism from the British cultural elite. Also in 2009 the NCF along with the Social Affairs Unit jointly published "Private Views: Voices from the Front Line of British Culture", a collection of seventeen interviews (all conducted by Peter Whittle) with contemporary cultural figures such as the Editor of Standpoint Daniel Johnson and the comedian Reginald D. Hunter.
