Alexander Stoddart (born in
Edinburgh ,1959 ) is a Scottish sculptor.Life
Although born in Edinburgh, Stoddart grew up in
Paisley and continues to work there.He attended
Glasgow School of Art from 1976 to 1980 and then continued postgraduate studies at theUniversity of Glasgow . He is Honorary Professor in the Department of Arts and Media at theUniversity of Paisley . Stoddart has been influenced by the sculptural works of
John Mossman in the city of Glasgow and worked for a time withHis monument to
