Neta Aloni is a contemporary Israeli composer who composes for vocal and instrumental ensembles. He has written Chamber, Choral and Instrumental works for solo or group players.
Born in 1945, he studied musical composition with the Israeli composer Andre Hajdu, and had continued his studies with the Israeli composers Reuven Sarrousy, Betty Oliviero and Gideon Levinson. He had taken his supplementary studies in Composition at the Bar-Ilan University, Israel.

Performances and awards
Neta Aloni's work has been performed numerous times in Israel as well as abroad. His compositions were recorded by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority and were broadcast over the Radio, on the Voice of Music station in Israel, which is devoted to broadcasting both classic and contemporary Classical Music by foreign and Israeli composers. His work: "I have told Myself completely" was chosen to represent the Israeli Broadcasting Authority in the International Rostrum of Composers.
Published work
Neta Aloni has so far produced 3 full-length CD's of his compositions:
- "Moments with Myself" (1996) which contains compositions for Piano and Flute performed by Israeli Pianist Ora Rotem-Nelken, and Israeli Flautist Edith Shemer.
- "Five Vocal Pieces" (2000) with pieces sung by Mira Zakai (accompanied by Pianist Ora Rotem-Nelken) and pieces for voice and instrumental ensemble sung by: Esti Keinan and Avital Raz.
- "Breathless" (2007) is his last CD thus far. It consists of pieces composed exclusively for the Bayan.
His most recent works have been recorded and are about to be published. These are:
- A String Quintet "Heart-break Tango; Music for Cello and Bayan; Homage for Domenico Scarlatti for 2 Harpsichords and Choral music.
Work as a Psychoanalyst
Neta Alony is also a practicing Psychoanalyst in Jerusalem, where he resides.
