History
The significant interest in geographical information systems (GIS) and the variety of demands had made GIS one of the fastest growing information technologies in the world. In the Netherlands the public sector is one of the most important groups of users of GIS.
Since its foundation in 1978 the company was engaged in GIS Systems. NedGraphics introduced its first AM/FM systems IGOS in 1982.
In 1992 Richard Goossens, who joined the company in 1985, became chief operations and the company’s open system-based GIS philosophy was introduced and became very successful! From a minor player in 1993 with 19 municipalities as customer, NedGraphics had in the year 2001 more than 300 municipalities as customer and furthermore provinces, survey, town planning and engineering bureaus as customer in the Benelux. It has also customers for their static charting system SmartGlobe for the world wide aviation market with customers like EuroControl, NAVCanada and NATS.
In 2001 NedGraphics became a subsidiary of Blue Fox Enterprises N.V. and started to invest in the development of Oracle based mid- en front office solutions.
In 2007 NedGraphics B.V became member of the Cadac Group and trebled its investment in product development in particular in products for quality and business control and for publishing maps on the Internet.
In line with the current laws and regulations for municipalities, NedGraphics develops solutions for the Wro, Wkbp, BAG, WION and BGT+. Furthermore NedGraphics has now a serious focus on the market suppliers of the government, in particular engineering firms (DHV, Oranjewoud, Arcadis), contractors and the Industry (DSM).
