Nasirabad is located at 26°15′N 81°32′E / 26.25°N 81.53°E / 26.25; 81.53. It has an average elevation of 101 metres (331 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Nasirabad had a population of 9,353. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Nasirabad has an average literacy rate of 40%, male literacy is 48%, and female literacy is 30%.

Nasirabad (नसीराबाद, ناصر آباد) is a Village in the Rae Bareli district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Nasirabad is the land of ijtehad and most famous of Ayatollah Syed Dildar Ali Naseerabadi (مولانا سيد دلدار على نصيرابادى) - also known as Ghufran-Ma'ab (غفران ماب) was a Shia scholar of India.

Sadaat of Nasirabad

One of the earliest settlements of Naqvi's is reported from Jais & Nasirabad, Raibareli in North India. Naqvi Sadats migrated from SUBZWAR (IRAN) & arrived in Jais around 410 Hijri (around 1027 A.D.) and settled there. After some time adjacent Patakpur, 4 mile from Jais, was also inhabited by Momineens and rechristened as Naseerabad after the name of Syed Naseerudin Jaisi. Jais & Nasirabad are the earliest known Naqvi Sadats of India. Jais & Naseerabad are the native land of Khandan e Ijtihad and multitude of very high ranking scholars have come from there. The 1st Mujtahid from India, Ayatullah il Uzma Sayyid Dildar Ali Naqvi Naseerabadi 'Gufraanmaab (ar)' was from here and later his family came to be called Khandan e Ijtihad due to the heavy presence of high ranking scholars.Some famous and known religious scholars from this lineage include Syedul Ulema Ayatullah Syed Ali Naqi Naqvi 'Naqqan', Jannat Ma'ab Ayatullah Syed Mohammad Naqvi, Ayatullah Aqa Hasan Sb, Ayatullah Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Kalbe Abid Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Kalbe Jawwad Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Hasan Zafar Naqvi(based in Karachi), Allama Syed Razi Jafar, Allama Nasir Ijtehadi, Dr Kalbe Sadiq, Hujjatul Islam Syed Ali Mohammad Naqvi .

Muharram celebration

Muharram is here celebrated with great fervour and great enthusiasm and it is as follows: Besides Majlis of gents and ladies there are Matami Juloos (Sad Processions) with recitation of Nauhas (sad poems) and flagging with chains. 1st Muharram : Chandrat Juloos

4th Muharram : Juloos Started From Sultan Raza Naqvi's House and end to Imambada Rauza.

5th Muharram : Juloos Started From Talib Husain’s House and end to Imambara Kafi Miyan. Ahead of Juloos is Alam, Zuljana, Taboot with people reciting Mersiya.

6th Muharram : Juloos.

7th Muharram : Juloos e Mehndee.

8th Muharram : Juloos e Alamdar Hazrat Abbas (a.s.)

9th Muharram : Juloos e Mehndee.

10th Muharram : Juloos e Ashoora.
