Nabila Ramdani is a Paris-born freelance journalist of Algerian descent who specialises in Anglo-French issues, Islamic affairs, and the Arab World.

Education
Ramdani holds an MPhil in International History from the London School of Economics (LSE),[1] and an MPhil in British and American History and Literature from Paris 7 University.
She has an Agrégation (France's highest teaching qualification) in English and has held teaching positions at Oxford University (Jesus and Oriel Colleges), the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and Paris 7 University.
Professional life
Ramdani began her career in journalism covering the 2007 French presidential elections for a number of UK newspapers, and working as a commentator for BBC TV and radio. She writes regular columns for The Guardian,[2] London Evening Standard,[3] and the New Statesman.[4]
She also produces features and news stories for a wide range of other British publications, including The Daily Telegraph,[5] The Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail,[6] Mail on Sunday, and The Sunday Times. Nabila’s work also appears in Middle Eastern newspapers including The National,[7] Gulf News and Daily News Egypt, and she has contributed to the French publications Le Parisien, Marianne, L'Express, Le Monde, and Le Figaro. Ramdani's articles are syndicated worldwide.

Nabila Ramdani is a commentator for the BBC, Al Jazeera, Sky, CNN, PBS, CBS, Russia Today, and other international channels. She has worked for French TV and radio stations such as France Télévisions (France 2, France 3 and France 5), Canal Plus, France Inter, Europe 1, RTL, BFM, among others. She has worked on the other side of the camera too, producing documentaries for prime time television in the UK. She is regularly employed by the BBC to comment on Libya where she voices constant criticism of the NTC and NATO. She criticised the killing of Gaddafi, though the same day's news reports on the BBC also declared; "He was a brutal dictator. He lived by the sword. He died by the sword. So there is no sympathy on the streets of Tripoli." [8]
Other work
Ramdani is a Fellow on the UN Alliance of Civilisations Programme [9] and is a regular speaker at Wilton Park, the Doha Debates,[10][11] and the Qatar Foundation.
She has worked with the League of Arab States, Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), German Marshall Fund (GMF), Open Society Institute (OSI), CEDAR Network,[12] Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD),[13] Franco-British Council, the Search for Common Ground think tank, and Institut des Cultures d’Islam (ICI).[14] She is a consultant to the British Council, advising on projects like ‘Our Shared Europe’.
Awards
Ramdani is a winner of the inaugural European Muslim Woman of Influence (EMWI) Award 2010.[15] She is a nominee for the EU Journalist Award-Together Against Discrimination 2010.
