The NPa Grajaú (P40) is a Grajaú class patrol boat of the Brazilian Navy. The Grajaú was the first of twelve Grajaú class patrol boats ordered by the Brazilian Navy, on September 1990. The Grajaú was launched on 21 May 1993, and was commissioned on 1 December 1993.[1]

History

In June 2009, the NPa Grajaú (P40) participated in the recovery mission for the wreckage of Air France Flight 447.
